Yeshiva University, through its Center for the Jewish Future (\u201cYU<\/em><\/strong>\u201d), operates www.Rabbanan.org (the \u201cSite<\/em><\/strong>\u201d) for our visitors, members and contributors.\u00a0 The Site is being provided under the following terms and conditions and any operating rules, policies, procedures and terms related to the use of certain software and\/or content of the Site that may be published from time to time on the Site by YU (collectively, the \u201cTerms of Use<\/em><\/strong>\u201d).<\/p>\n

You agree that You will not disable, overburden or impair the proper working of the Site.\u00a0 You will only use the Site for lawful purposes.\u00a0 Unauthorized access to the Site, or to the telecommunications or computer facilities used to deliver the Site, is a breach of the Terms of Use and is a violation of law.\u00a0 Upon reasonable request, You will provide YU with evidence of compliance with the obligations set forth in this Section.\u00a0 Any special rules for the use of certain software and other Content accessible on the Site may be included elsewhere within the Site and are incorporated into the Terms of Use by reference.<\/p>\n

Eligibility and Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Member Areas may be made available by YU to individuals that complete the registration form and can form legally binding contracts under applicable law (each, a \u201cMember<\/em><\/strong>\u201d).\u00a0 In order to use the Member Areas, a Member must: (a) provide certain current, complete, and accurate information about the Member on the registration form (\u201cRegistration Data<\/em><\/strong>\u201d); (b) maintain and update the Registration Data as required to keep information current, complete, and accurate; (c) provide all equipment, including, without limitation, a computer, necessary to establish an Internet connection; (d) provide for the Member\u2019s own access to the Internet; and (e) pay any service fees associated with such access.\u00a0 YU retains the right to terminate a Member’s account and the Member\u2019s rights to use the Member Areas if any Registration Data that the Member provides is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if YU has reasonable grounds to believe that any Registration Data is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if the Member otherwise breaches the Terms of Use.<\/p>\n

Account Password and Security<\/strong><\/p>\n

Access to and use of the Member Areas is through a combination of a unique user name (\u201cUsername<\/em><\/strong>\u201d) and a password (\u201cPassword<\/em><\/strong>\u201d) designated by the Member on the registration form.\u00a0 Each Member is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his, her or its own Username and Password.\u00a0 Furthermore, each Member is entirely responsible for any and all activities which occur under his, her or its Username and Password.\u00a0 The Member agrees to immediately notify YU of any unauthorized use of the Member Areas or a Member\u2019s account or any other breach of security known to the Member.\u00a0 Although YU will not be liable for losses caused by any unauthorized use of the Member\u2019s account, the Member may be liable for the losses of YU or others due to such unauthorized use.\u00a0 The Member is solely responsible for (a) any charges, damages or losses that may be incurred or suffered as a result of the Member\u2019s failure to maintain the strict confidentiality of his, her or its Username and Password; and (b) promptly informing YU in writing of any need to deactivate any Username and\/or Password due to security concerns.<\/p>\n

Privacy Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Registration Data and other information, including, without limitation, personally identifiable information, about Users will be treated in accordance with the Site\u2019s Privacy Policy<\/a>.\u00a0 In addition to the restrictions on disclosure of Registration Data as set forth in the Privacy Policy, YU will not disclose any personally identifiable information about a User unless authorized by that User or unless YU is required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:\u00a0 (a) conform with applicable laws or comply with legal process; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of YU; or (c) enforce the Terms of Use.<\/p>\n

User Conduct <\/strong><\/p>\n

You agree that when using the Site and\/or submitting Content for the Site, You will act in a manner consistent with the goals of the Site, and by way of example, and not as a limitation, You specifically agree that:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, embarrass, cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of any User or representative of YU.\u00a0 You may express Your disagreement with someone\u2019s point-of-view, but personal attacks or attacks based on another person\u2019s race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other such condition or circumstance, are strictly prohibited.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not impersonate another person or entity, including, but not limited to, a YU representative or communicate under a false name or a name that You are not entitled or authorized to use.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not post surveys, contests, chain letters, pyramid schemes, unnecessarily long messages, unnecessary or repetitive posts, multiple ratings for the same item, meaningless text, spamming, offensive declarations or exhortations or other similarly disruptive content.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material posted on the Site.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not post any files that contain viruses, corrupted files or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another\u2019s computer.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not attempt to \u201ccrack,\u201d \u201chack,\u201d \u201cbomb,\u201d manipulate or otherwise gain unauthorized access to other User accounts, YU servers, YU software or any areas of the Site not intended for Your access.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not post, transmit or distribute any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials or other forms of solicitation to Users, individuals or entities, except in areas expressly designated by YU for such purposes.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will not harvest, mine or otherwise collect or store personal information about others, including, without limitation, e-mail addresses and the content of User profiles.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 YU neither endorses Your products or services, nor the content of the Your communications, postings or data, nor assumes any responsibility for any threatening, libelous, obscene, harassing or offensive material contained in such materials, or any crime facilitated by use of the Site.<\/p>\n

User Content<\/strong><\/p>\n

In YU\u2019s discretion, it may permit You to submit content and\/or other communications (“User Content<\/em><\/strong>“).\u00a0 You understand that, whether or not such User Content is published, YU does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any User Content.<\/p>\n

By submitting User Content for the Site, You represent, warrant and agree that:<\/p>\n
